Tripura Sundari Temple – Shakti Peetha of the Northeast

• Built by: Maharaja Dhanya Manikya (1501 AD)
• Religious Importance: One of the 51 Shakti Peethas; Goddess Tripura Sundari is worshipped here in a 5-foot idol form made of kasti stone.
• Special Feature: Temple shaped like a tortoise (Kurma Peeth).
• Festival: Diwali Mela attracts thousands of pilgrims.
