Pilak Archaeological Site – Buddhist-Hindu Crossroads

• Period: 8th–12th centuries AD
• Heritage: Sandstone sculptures of Avalokiteshvara, Buddha, Vishnu, and other deities, indicating coexistence of Hinduism and Mahayana Buddhism.
• Importance: Part of the cultural trail linking Tripura with Bengal and Southeast Asia.
