Hands-On Field Learning: Netarhat & Patratu

In April 2025, geography students from Jamshedpur Women’s University took a three-day educational tour to Netarhat and Patratu. Their visit included:

• Geological exploration at Lodh Falls (Jharkhand’s highest waterfall), Sugga Falls, Magnolia Sunset Point, Koyal Sunrise Point
• Agricultural studies at a pear orchard
• Hydrological insights at Upper Ghaghri Falls, Patratu Valley, and Patratu Lake
• Ecological learning through pine and sal forest ecosystems and traditional livelihoods like Mahua flower collection
