Music & Dance
Traditional dance and music reflect tribal myths, agricultural life, and social celebrations.
- Hojagiri Dance – Performed by the Reang community; women balance bottles and earthen pitchers on their heads while dancing on a narrow bamboo.
- Garia Dance – Accompanies Garia Puja, full of rhythmic drumming and bamboo percussion.
- Lebang Boomani Dance – Young men and women mimic catching colorful insects (“Lebang”) during farming season.
- Bizhu Dance – Performed by Chakma tribe during the Bizhu festival.
- Musical Instruments: Sarinda, sumui (bamboo flute), kham (drum), cymbals.
