  • 1926 - Founding: Jamnalal Bajaj established Bachhraj Factories Pvt. Ltd. in Wardha, initially as a trading house.
  • 1931 - Early Manufacturing: The group entered the manufacturing sector with the launch of Hindustan Sugar Mills.
  • 1945 - Bajaj Auto: Incorporated on November 29, 1945, initially to import and sell scooters, three-wheelers, and motorcycles.
  • 1950s/60s Expansion: Under Kamalnayan Bajaj, the group expanded into scooters, alloy castings, and electrical equipment. In 1959, it received a government license to produce Vespa scooters in collaboration with Piaggio.
