Starlux Airlines is a premium Taiwanese carrier founded in 2018 by Chang Kuo-wei, the former chairman of EVA Air, following a family succession battle. Known as the "Emirates of Taiwan," it focuses on luxury service, operating a young fleet of Airbus jets to Southeast Asia and North America. It is recognized as a 5-Star Airline by Skytrax.

• The Founder's Revenge: After Chang Kuo-wei was removed as chairman of EVA Air by his half-siblings, he vowed to create a superior rival airline.
